Meet our Paradise School Team : 2024- 2025
Paradise Head of School

Harmeet
Head of School
My name is Harmeet
I am the Head of Paradise School.
I have been with Paradise from the beginning, August 2016.
I hold a Masters degree in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences ( TISS ), Mumbai and a degree in Management from Wye College UK, along with a B.ed and CELTA. I have been involved in the Development and Education field since 1994, having worked with ILO, EU and Ford Foundation in the areas of Education and Empowerment of communities.
As a School Leader, Head and Educator, I wholeheartedly believe that cultivating authentic relationships with students, teachers and parents is the foundation to nurturing the next generation. Paradise is the space which allows learners to flourish by promoting and encouraging the learners to think for themselves, share their ideas however wild they are and let them take charge of their learning, beyond just completing curriculums, with the support and guidance of the educators. This is what is needed in the present context of this ever changing world. Paradise provides that environment which prepares every learner to follow their dream.
For me Paradise is just not a school, it is “Paradise” where everyone flourishes and grows together.
Paradise Vice Principals

Bala
Vice Principal - Senior Secondary (Moira Campus)
My name is Bala
Iam the Vice Principal for the Moira Campus
As Vice Principal of the Moira Campus, I bring fifteen years of experience teaching young adults in the alternative international education space, specializing in Renewable Energies, Sciences, Mathematics, and Technology. My educational philosophy centers on transforming how students engage with learning through hands-on discovery and practical application.
My classroom approach prioritizes fostering a genuine love for learning. Our small class sizes enable me to provide individualized attention, identifying and nurturing each learner’s strengths while providing targeted support in areas of growth. Rather than simply presenting formulas and principles, I guide students to discover these concepts themselves through experimentation and real-world projects. This inquiry-based approach helps students develop critical thinking skills while building confidence in their abilities to solve complex problems.
Having served as a Cambridge examinations manager for eleven years, I possess comprehensive knowledge of their curriculum structure and educational methodology. Working within Cambridge’s flexible curriculum framework gives me the unique opportunity to tailor education to each student’s individual journey, ensuring our approach remains aligned with international standards while maintaining innovative teaching practices.
This deep understanding of Cambridge’s system allows me to support our teaching staff extensively, helping them create dynamic and engaging classrooms. I work closely with our educators to ensure they have the tools and insights needed to make their classes more vibrant and interesting, drawing on my extensive experience with Cambridge’s methods to enhance our collective teaching effectiveness.
At Paradise, we believe education should inspire curiosity, build competence, and prepare students not just for examinations, but for life’s challenges through practical understanding and creative problem-solving.

“Curiosity leads, learning follows.”
As a SOLE educator, I believe that children learn best when they are given the freedom to question and express their ideas. My classroom is built on choice and creativity, set in an environment where students take ownership of their learning. Through projects like the school magazine and our yearbook, students explore media creation, collaboration, and self-expression in authentic ways. I support them in becoming confident digital communicators, critical thinkers, and responsible users of technology.
Technology is not just a tool but the medium of our classroom. Students are encouraged to use their own devices for research, content creation, and collaborative inquiry. AI is integrated mindfully and not as a shortcut, but as a partner for exploration, creativity, and ethical discussion.
My role is not to instruct but to ignite and guide learners as they navigate digital landscapes, sharpen their information fluency, and express their ideas through purposeful, student led work.

Paradise School Co-Ordinators

Varsha
SOLE Ambassador
My name is Varsha
I am the SOLE Ambassador for Paradise School.
As Chuck Palahniuk said, “What we call chaos is just patterns that we don’t recognize.” As an educator, we know that the classroom is always on the brink of total chaos. But what if we welcomed the mayhem instead of holding it back? The SOLE method helps us transmute the classroom chaos into BIG spontaneous bursts of cerebral creativity. As SOLE ambassador, I encourage our teachers to shift the narrative of disorganization in a classroom to self-organization. This helps us discover new, learner-centric ways of pedagogy which creates a unique educational environment.
More importantly, it helps students discard the fear of asking the wrong questions and finding the wrong answers. In doing so, it helps them leave the harsh conditioning of the conventional schooling system behind by forging a new path at Paradise that activates children’s relationship with the world they live in.

Marienella
Class Teacher and Science
My name is Marienella
I teach Science for Upper Primary
“Science thrives in a community of thinkers, and so does the classroom”
As a Science teacher, I believe in cultivating curiosity and critical thinking through the lens of the Scientific Method. Science is not just a collection of facts—it’s a dynamic process of discovery, questioning, and problem-solving. Learners are guided through this approach, empowering them to ask meaningful questions and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them through engaging experiments and activities. Throughout the year , lessons are designed that encourage teamwork, peer discussion, and shared inquiry, where the learners learn from each other and build on diverse perspectives. In doing so, they not only master scientific concepts but also develop essential communication and collaboration skills.
By blending the rigor of the scientific method with the power of collaborative learning, I aim to create a classroom environment where curiosity is sparked, creativity is nurtured, and every learner is equipped to be a lifelong learner and an independent thinker.

Nikita
Class Teacher and English
My name is Nikita
I teach English for Upper Primary
My name is Nikita
I teach English for Upper Primary
The future of our planet rests firmly on the shoulders of those who inherit it. These
responsibilities need a preparedness that all are promised but a few receive. As an
educator, it is my privilege to be a part of the process of preparing these young minds
and hearts to take on the challenges that the world has to offer. I am energetic, diligent,
and maintain a positive outlook, qualities I strive to instill in my learners every day. I
believe in creating a classroom environment that is both engaging and nurturing, where
learning becomes an enjoyable journey.
Paradise School offers the ideal setting for this, allowing me the flexibility to connect
with my learners through meaningful conversations and creative teaching methods.
Learning English at Paradise doesn’t just mean understanding vocabulary and learning a
whole lot of grammar and literature, it means applying, creating and developing
language as they go. It’s a place where I can help shape bright futures—and make lasting
memories along the way.
Lower Secondary - Groups 1, 2 and 3 (Grades 6, 7 and 8)

Reshmi
Class Teacher and Maths for Lower Secondary
My name is Reshmi
I'm the Class Teacher for Group 2 and I teach Maths to Lower Secondary
My philosophy of teaching is based on my views and beliefs on education developed over the past 8 years of teaching, 4 of which have been at Paradise.
Teaching is an opportunity to love and empower children. I enjoy sharing my passion, understanding and knowledge of Mathematics with my learners. My aim is to develop their curiosity, instill a passion for numeracy and provide them with the necessary resources and skills to analyse the world around them.
I use a variety of instructional, collaborative and experiential methods to actively engage my students considering their learning styles and aptitude. Being part of the CICT&L course held at Paradise helped me with understand this. Integrating technology in the classrooms has added more value to students learning beyond the classroom, especially in the areas of skill-based learning.
This integrated multi-modal learning has helped students implement specific ideas at their point of need. Curiosity is generated by asking a BIG QUESTION either at the beginning of a new concept or at the end of it. This is how we integrate SOLE into our Maths learning.
